WORD OF THE DAY IS COMMUNICATION

Ps 22:2 Every day I call to you, my God, but you do not answer. Every night I lift my voice, but I find no relief.

With today’s technology there are many ways to communicate. Text, Facebook, Instagram, twitter, snapchat, and some I don’t even know about. While growing up there was one phone, attached to the wall and it was located where everyone could hear your conversion. There was no privacy. Skip ahead to now and thanks to social media there still may not be much privacy.

I understand about keeping up with family and friends with pictures and thoughts but do we need to post every second of our life. I have told our children “just because it’s in your head doesn’t mean it needs to come out of your mouth.” Now I say “don’t post anything about another person, especially gossip.” If it’s not nice don’t put it out there. It may come back and bite you.

We need to remember that God is the one to call about our distress, disappointments and fears. He will never tell our conversations but he will prompt others to encourage, help and sustain us during times of trouble. Your voice, from a sincere heart, is all he needs to hear. He will answer but maybe not as you expect. The answer can be yes or no, but sometime the answer is wait. Waiting for God’s answer is always worth it. Try communicating with God more and see how wonderful life can be.
