WORD OF THE DAY IS NEVER DISGRACED

Ps 22:4-5 Our ancestors trusted in you, and you rescued them.    They cried out to you and were saved. They trusted in you and were never disgraced.

All my church friends were pregnant or just had babies. I experienced many problems trying to conceive and I felt like a failure. Every baby shower I attended I cried out to God, but instead of feeling better I became jealous. Knowing my bitter feelings were not of God, I felt disgraced.

Finally, after years of faithfulness to God and believing his promises, I knew God would bless us with children. A Christian mentor at my church asked me why I was depressed. I explained God promised I would have a baby this year but it looked impossible. She rebuked me with a strong message, “Nothing is impossible with God.”  A few weeks later, I was approached about a baby due in September that needed parents. Our “baby” is now grown and brings joy to us every day. We can always go to God in prayer even when we hurt or doubt. Sometimes we need someone who will say “Hey, I understand, I too have hurt. Through prayer, many tears, and sleepless nights God brought me through it. God knows all about how we feel and he will never make us feel disgraced.
