Ps 98:2 The Lord has announced his victory and has revealed his righteousness to every nation!
Our granddaughter’s gender reveal party was a new experience for me. Family and friends gathered to enjoy a sumptuous meal. I knew she desperately wanted a girl but was happy and eager to have a heathy baby to complete their family. We spoke about her two boys as the anticipation built for the big reveal.
Her friend, who knew the results, had made pillow cases filled with colored feathers. The boys began swinging and hitting each other with the pillowcases, but nothing happened. Finally, white feathers exploded in the yard and soon pink ones flew through the air. Everyone shouted and clapped. The boys were ecstatic about having a baby sister. The joy on Brittney’s face was palpable. Tears of happiness threatened, and her husband Blake’s smile was the biggest I’d ever seen. It was the best moment of everyone’s lives.
But that moment will never measure up to seeing Jesus, coming for his people to give them the biggest reveal ever—heaven. When God accomplishes his plan, we will see his glory in the heavenlies. There will be shouts of acclamation, rejoicing in happiness and more love than ever felt on earth.
With all the pain and suffering in our world, we await the glorious day when every knee will bow and every tongue confesses the Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lord’s. It sometimes seems that day is taking forever, but in God’s time the big reveal will be perfect.
