WORD OF THE DAY IS FREEDOM

Ps 92:1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High.

In America we have many freedoms. We can vote, work and receive a paycheck and worship as we see fit. But our basic freedom of voicing our opinion without fear of retaliation seems to be in jeopardy. Even in our workplace, we skirt around sensitive topics and walk on eggshells if our words offend someone.

I have Asian, Black, Latino, and Native American friends and have discussed our cultures and our differences. The DEAF are dear to my heart and I have taught classes on DEAF culture. I have lived in other countries and embraced many cultures, and when traveling I try to learn as much as possible about the people and places in this world. I thank God for the opportunities and ability to see everyone as human no matter who they are or their situation in life.

For me, praising and thanking God for every one he created is paramount. We never know what a person is going through so when placed in difficult situations with others ASK. It may surprise you how small our differences really are. And when you ask, it may open a door to share what God has done for you. Thank him and sing praises to our God for everything, especially our freedom.
