Ps 79:13 Then we your people, the sheep of your pasture, will thank you forever and ever, praising your greatness from generation to generation.
How deep are you willing to go? I know that is a strange question, but I believe the depth of your breakthrough is totally dependent on the depth of your prayers and praise. Satan constantly puts roadblocks in our life to keep us from honoring God with our praise, and breaking through those road blocks can be extremely difficult. A superficial five minute prayer is not enough but that is what Satan wants us to think. Take time to go deep into your soul then pray and praise him for as long as it takes to see victory.
Asaph saw the destruction of the political, economic, social and spiritual realm of Jerusalem and cried out to God. When we are outraged by injustice and angry about things in our life, we need to cry out to the Lord, not against him. When we cry out in praise and worship it shows that our trust is still in God and that depth of commitment breaks down Satan’s ability to keep us from God.
As Asaph cried out, he held on to the character of God, which is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent. (All-powerful, all-knowing and all-present). God has proven himself time and again. His tender mercies are there waiting for our requests, but a simple “God please…” will not work. Get serious in your praise, honor him in word and action. Let others see your total trust of the Lord’s ability to tear down and totally destroy all the roadblocks in your life. Go deep!
