WORD OF THE DAY IS PURPOSEFUL THINKING.

Ps 75:9 But as for me, I will always proclaim what God has done; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

Sometimes I drive people nuts with my optimism. I make a conscious decision every day to find something good in every situation. My son has asked me “How can you find good in people even after they have done wrong?” Because God loves all his children, I purposely think about what the person has been through and try to find a reason for me to love them as well.

Everyone has weaknesses and faults, however, we also have good qualities. God made us, and he never makes a mistake. Usually it’s other people who influence us from good to bad. Jesus finds the good in us all. Take the time and try it. Purposely think of a person that has hurt you or someone you love. Now, think of all the good in their lives, maybe kindness, loyalty, dedication to their family, or maybe they are a hard worker and good with time management. These may be small things, but you may be surprised to learn how much better you feel about them and yourself.

Before long you realize the door is open to share what God is doing in your life. Once that door is open, God will give you the words the person needs. Never underestimate the power of a simple word of kindness or compassion, especially when it comes from God.
