United we stand, divided we fall. Think about what that motto means and why it is so important today. Trying to accomplish a task, even something as easy as buying groceries, can be difficult for some. We need help, even if all we need is something off the top shelf. There is strength in unity, so asking for help doesn’t make us weak it gives the strength to reach our goal.
God wants us to be successful. He will send people to help. However it is important to understand and know when to ask and then how to receive his help. Always be sensitive to the guiding spirit of God.
If the person or circumstance makes you feel uncomfortable (weaker) then change tactics. Wait and pray about what is going on in your life. If there is division in relationships stop the process. If others use the situation to benefit themselves it may be a trick to break you down. If the solution gives glory to God and strengthens your witness of him then go for it. You never know how the decisions you make will affect others, so be careful. Knowing that strength comes from uniting with the Lord in everything is a very important principle of life.
