Ps 66:5 Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people!
We hear of miracles daily. Some are divine miracles such as a person surviving a horrific car accident with only minor injuries, or the birth of a baby to an infertile couple. However, what about everyday kindnesses that become miracles because they change someone’s life. Those instances that are extraordinary and amazing or inexplicable by normal standards. Are our standards so elevated that we don’t see the miracle in a smile, a kind gesture or a person giving of themselves to make your life easier?
Some are quick to enhance the negatives in life but what about the positives. Do we ignore the simple pleasures, perhaps as our due, or rejoice that God truly loves us so much that he allowed us to wake up, breathe and live another day for him. Every day is a miracle. I know, as a Christian, life is really hard and challenges occur every moment but the alternative is not acceptable to me. I would rather live knowing Jesus is right there with me, orchestrating every moment of my life, than doing my own thing and never know if tomorrow will ever come.
That is why I thank God for every day that I live, because whether good or bad, I know he is in control of my life. That assurance comes from the miracle of the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
