WORD OF THE DAY IS CONFIDENCE

Ps 57:7 My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing your praises!

Confidence is intangible making it hard to find. The dictionary states it is “the feeling that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust.” Some days I was confident in my abilities on my job and in the directions given. However, at other times not so much. Confidence is something we have tried to instill in our children. With determination and hard work, they can do anything they want in this life. Nevertheless, the most important is confidence in God.

Having the confidence that God is always there leading and guiding, helps us feel confident in himself or herself. Even with all the problems life throws at us, we can have confidence that God is in control.

My son often questions why I am so calm when bad things happen. “You play Christian music, and go to church with a smile on your face, nothing seems to get you down” he says. My answer is simple—I know who is in control of my life and he promised that everything would be all right. That truth gives me the strength to be confident.
