Ps 47:1-2 Come, everyone! Clap your hands! Shout to God with joyful praise! For the Lord Most High is awesome. He is the great King of all the earth.
From beginning to end, this Psalm expresses the excitement and jubilation of knowing our King. The awesome understanding that my God is the Lord Most High over all the earth gives me goose bumps. Some day we will all stand together and acknowledge Him as Lord.
It won’t matter who we are: men, women, and children from every nation and ethnic background, joining together to praise King Jesus. Can you imagine all the different languages and foreign sounds? God understands them all. How awesome is that? The excitement and joy will be so overwhelming that I believe we will also have that understanding, even if only a small degree. Everyone will know that Jesus is Lord over all the earth. That day will be awesome.
I know the day will come but will we have to wait for heaven or can we see a touch of heaven on earth today? How can we see heaven now? Showing kindness to someone in need, perhaps praying for someone who is ill, or maybe just being what God wants us to be. If we all work to spread the Word, that day could be sooner than we think.
