Ps 2:12 Submit to God’s royal son, or he will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities—for his anger flares up in an instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in him!
God becomes angry and this holy anger can happen quickly. It is never too late to seek peace with God through humility and prayer. Submitting to God’s son gives us refuge from his anger.
Submitting is difficult. Submitting to a parent, spouse, boss or other leader can be impossible if it interferes with our relationship with God. When I have a problem submitting to human leaders it usually means I need to submit more to God.
I try to use wisdom and see both sides of a situation but there are moments when I want to win a disagreement. When that happens I pray for God’s help. When I realize that Christ’s sacrifice was what God desired and what our sin required; then I see that without his sacrifice I would be dead in sin and unable to have any peace. So no matter what happens in life I submit to God the father, his Son and the Holy Spirit for victory over my sin that angers God.
